The Siren. The second album by Swedish retro blues-rock band Graveyard finds them moving from the stoner rock-identified Tee Pee label to the more traditionally metallic Nuclear Blast. They haven't changed their sound one bit, though; they still sound like a lost band fromsomewhere between the U.
The easiest modern comparison would be to Witchcraft, but Witchcraft's more occult lyrical focus, and influence from heavier acts like Pentagram, sets them apart from Graveyard's bare-bones boogie, which falls closer LP Horisont.
The title track of this album finds Graveyard at their most rip-roaring, offering a thunderous riff and some stinging guitar soloing. The album ends with the one-two punch of the hard-rocking "RSS" and the atmospheric, shifting it starts soft and gets very loudsix-minute "The Siren," an excellent showcase for the band's skilled rhythm section.

Blues is filled with thick blues riffs, howling vocals and quality drumming. Jonatan Ramm, the bands lead guitarist, recently joined the band and with him brings an ever present talent for writing great solos. The albums closer can also be considered the best song off the album. Graveyard might not be the perfect band or the most inventive one, LP in an ever present time where some wished Led Zeppelin would get back together or that we somehow would come across lost material from bands of that era, LP have bands like this to depend on.
With a singer that sounds like Robert Plant and an abundance of thick Album) riffs, Graveyard was able to yet again create another album of nostalgia and memories from the days of yore.
