Test for Echo is the sixteenth studio album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released on 10 September on Anthem is the final Rush work before the tragic events in Neil Peart's life that put the band on hiatus until the recording of Vapor Trails in January It is also the final Rush album co-produced by Peter Collins.. The title track reached No. 1 on the mainstream rock : Hard rock, progressive rock.

Apart from Counterparts, the 90's have to be Rush's least interesting period, and this album is the least interesting from that period. Only 3 songs I enjoy on this one: Test For Echo, Driven, and Time and Motion. Resist is way better acoustic, as played on Rush in Rio/5.

  1. Test for Echo is the band’s 16th studio album. It was recorded from January-March at the legendary Bearsville Studios in New York state (now defunct) and at Reaction Studios (also defunct) in Toronto in April The band returned after nearly a two-year hiatus with a power and ferocity that rivals some of their earliest material.
